How many of you have a passion for something but you let every negative thought imaginable stop you from going for it? Be honest! That’s what has been happening with this website since I started it TWO years ago. Two years of knowing I had valuable content to bring to you, but being too afraid to “put myself out there.” It’s ludicrous really.
So, I have decided to make a commitment to do this for the next two months to see how it goes. Two months can’t be that hard, right? Right?? I’m going to write what I want to write, and engage with you as much as possible, and fully commit to this website for two whole months and see where it takes us! With that, I want to give you an idea of the types of content I’ll be posting about. Truth be told, these ideas are stemming from my text message inbox from friends asking me questions that I know more people have! If I get writers block I’ll just scroll my messages and continue answering your pressing questions with posts I hope show my quirky personality, love of writing, and passion for all things necessary and proper.
Interiors: how to style rooms, my favorite furnishings, current trends and inspiration, and How To’s (style a bookcase, scour antique shops, choose the right size rug…). Sidebar: I plan to create design packages of items to purchase to make a room a certain style, complete with a design board so you know how to style the items.
Lifestyle: Recipes (I’m always cooking), outfit suggestions, fashion finds, How To’s (host a picture perfect brunch, polish silver, parent bratty kids…kidding, kind of).
Travel: I’ve been to Italy twice, Spain, France, and a ton of U.S. locations, and I love to research all the best places to eat and shop beforehand. I plan to share my itineraries and the must eat, see and do’s from each location I’ve previously traveled to AND will be going to in the future. Hawaii is next on the docket :)
I hope you find this to be as exciting as I do, and even if you’re not excited about the posts I hope you find this to be a little bit motivational! Just by putting myself out there with my interior decorating business a few years ago I gained more clients than I thought possible my first year. I think it’s important to realize your talents and passions and run with them…if not now then when??
